Cheap Theatre Tickets |

The inside scoop on cheap theatre tickets and theatre ticket deals

Where is the best place to get student priced theatre tickets in London?

I want to get the best deals on plays and musicals playing in London

Most theatres have standby for OAPs, students and Westminster residents, but the very popular plays don't have to offer special deals as they sell out anyway. You can just turn up at most theatres one hour before showtime, produce a student card, and get about half off the best tickets, or more – eg: £17 for a £42 ticket as I got at one theatre. However if you want to pay as little as possible, the cheapest seats at the back of the theatre will still cost less than the standby tickets but the view won't be as good. This is something I wished I had known about when I was a student, so take advantage of it.
